Birthday Compatibility
Zodiac signs and life path numbers — just your birthdays, no names needed.
What your score means
Rare and lucky
The kind of number people don't usually get. Enjoy it.
Strong match
This one has real staying power written all over it.
Good chemistry
There's warmth here worth paying attention to.
Real potential
A fair, solid number — enough to build something real on.
A slow burn
Nothing dramatic yet. Some of the best matches take their time.
Unlikely, but not impossible
The numbers aren't kind here — but plenty of good things start as long shots.
How it works
Enter both birthdays and the calculator runs two separate reads. The first looks up each date's Western zodiac sign, sorts each sign into one of four elements (Fire, Earth, Air, or Water), and scores the pair against a traditional elemental affinity chart. Same-element pairs and adjacent, "compatible" elements score high; opposing elements score lower. The second read is numerology. It adds together every digit in each birthdate, reduces the total down to a single digit (or, occasionally, one of the master numbers 11, 22, or 33), and compares the two resulting life path numbers. An exact match scores highest, a match within the same numerology "group" scores well, and anything else gets a baseline score.
Those two reads, one elemental and one numerological, get averaged into a single final percentage. Both halves are fixed lookups against published zodiac and numerology rules rather than anything random, so the same two birthdays always produce the same result.
No names required, and nothing you enter leaves your browser. Want names factored in instead? The Love Calculator and Compatibility Calculator both work from names, the second one blending in birthdays too.
Why zodiac elements and numerology, specifically
Both systems are among the oldest compatibility frameworks that work from a birth date alone, which made them the natural pair for a calculator that deliberately skips names. Elemental astrology groups the twelve zodiac signs into four temperaments and treats certain pairings as naturally complementary, like Fire with Air or Earth with Water, and others, like Fire with Water, as more prone to friction. Numerology works from a different premise entirely: the digits in a birth date reduce down to one number that says something about a person's core nature, and two people's numbers can be more or less naturally aligned.
Averaging the two gives a broader read than either alone. If your elements clash but your life path numbers align, or the other way around, the final score lands somewhere in the middle instead of swinging to one extreme. It's still two folk systems layered together rather than any kind of scientific measurement, but that layering makes for a more balanced fun-read than leaning on just one.
The four elements
Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Bold and quick to commit. Strongest with a fellow Fire sign or an Air sign for oxygen; can burn out fast against Water.
Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
Steady and practical. Strongest with a fellow Earth sign or a Water sign for stability; can feel too slow for Fire.
Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
Curious and talkative. Strongest with a fellow Air sign or a Fire sign to keep things moving; can feel scattered to Earth.
Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
Deeply feeling and intuitive. Strongest with a fellow Water sign or an Earth sign for grounding; can feel intense to Air.
What your life path number means
The leader
Independent and driven, happiest setting the direction rather than following one.
The partner
Diplomatic and tuned in to others, the number most associated with cooperation.
The expressive one
Creative and sociable, drawn to communication in whatever form it takes.
The builder
Practical and steady, more comfortable with a plan than with improvising.
The free spirit
Adaptable and restless, pulled toward change and new experience over routine.
The nurturer
Responsible and protective, often the one who ends up caring for everyone else.
The thinker
Introspective and analytical, needs real alone time to recharge.
The achiever
Ambitious and results-driven, comfortable with responsibility and authority.
The idealist
Compassionate and big-picture, drawn to causes bigger than themselves.
The master numbers
Treated as amplified versions of 2, 4, and 6: more intense, more idealistic, and according to numerologists, harder to live up to.
Just for fun. This runs on real zodiac-element and numerology rules, but neither field is scientifically validated — a fun cross-check on two birthdays, not a verdict on the relationship.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from the other calculators here?
This one skips names entirely — it works from two birthdays alone, using zodiac elements and numerology instead of a name-based formula. For a name-based score, try the Love Calculator; for a blend of both, try the Compatibility Calculator.
What's a life path number?
It's a single number — occasionally 11, 22, or 33 — found by adding together every digit in a birthdate and reducing the total. Numerology treats it as a rough read on someone's core personality.
Why did I get a different score here than on the Compatibility Calculator?
They run on entirely different inputs. Compatibility blends names with birthdays; this one is purely zodiac and numerology from two dates, so the same two people can land on two different numbers.
Is this based on real astrology and numerology?
It uses the commonly published rules for zodiac elements and numerology life path numbers, but neither field is scientifically validated — treat the score as a fun cross-check, not a verdict.
Does this store my birthday anywhere?
No — the whole calculation runs in your browser. Only the share link, if you generate one, encodes the two dates you entered.
